Table fannies

Merry Christmas.

Billy and I would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas.

Whatever you happen to be celebrating today (even if it's just life itself!) we're hoping you have a blast.

The table IS set.

There's a fancy table cloth, crackers and we've even whipped out some napkins.

Why do we set the table?

To make sure it looks great for when our families arrive, right?

I've been up since 5:30am today fannying about getting the turkey prepped and into the slow cooker and setting the table.

Thing is, if we didn't have crackers, a table cloth and napkins, do you think folks would still enjoy Christmas?

Course they bloody will.

Are you fannying on making sure your business' table is perfectly set, instead of doing what needs to be done?

So many entertainer-types use the same excuses: my stuff isn't ready, my website isn't there, I need a re-brand before I can go promote myself.

Bullshit. 

You're fannying about setting the table, when what people want is the meat.
