I wasn't really Live
by Ken Dyne"I'm standing at the bar, where are you?"
"We're at the bar too" replied my friend's wife, Esther. "You are at The Live Theatre, aren't you?"
Of course I was.
Yes.
Oh wait.
No.
I'm at at the bar at Northern Stage.
And it's 20-mins 'til curtain up.
I ran through Newcastle to the taxi stand and jumped in asking the driver to take me to Live Theatre on the Quayside.
He stepped on it and he drove like we were in a James Bond movie.
And yes, I made it in time to enjoy McGonagall's Chronicles: (Which Will Be Remembered for a Very Long Time).
You must have been in that place before where you're sure you're doing everything right but you're not seeing the result you're looking for?
How long are you happy to stand there before you question it and think you might have to make a slightly uncomfortable change?
If you're not getting the gigs you want, the number you want or the fees you'd like - change something. Or else nothing is going to change.
